It has been a great week in NC with Grammy, Papi, Grant, Megan, and all the kids. The kids were so excited to see one another.
The first morning was rainy, but that didn't deter Jack and Emmie. They were out on the porch playing "caught one!"
Jack's birthday was at the end of the week, so we adopted a Hannukah approach of a present a day so the kids had new toys to enjoy each day.
The kids also had a lot of toy-less fun wrestling and singing Frozen songs.
Emmie and Jack enjoyed a few bike rides together. Jack snoozed each time!
They also had a good time on the tire swing. It's great to have a cousin your age. Jack followed Emmie all week mimicking her words and actions!
There was plenty of time with Grammy and Papi too. In the house...

Blake enjoyed the beach too. He loves the water, whether it's sitting down by the ocean and splashing in the surf or playing in a bucket of water.
Uncle Grant got tickets to a really great pirate show. The kids and adults loved it, though Jack wasn't a huge fan of the loud cannons and guns.
Before the pirate show, we went to a great outdoor mall/amusement park called Broadway at the Beach. Jack was much more brave in terms of trying rides with the support and guidance of his 2 big cousins.
He did seem to get a bit dizzy on the tea cups (but cried when we took him off early)!
Mommy and Blake rode the tea cups too! Blake was sort of neutral on the experience.
Blake is our really good eater. Here he is after zucchini, squash, pork, avocado, and peas. That's a squash seed in his eyebrow and his big belly sticking out behind his tray.
Blake had a few special evenings of dining al fresco. It's the life!
Jack experienced his first round of mini golf. It had its ups and its downs (there were definitely tired/hungry tears).
Jack really loved his golf ball (and didn't seem to be bothered by the sweat pouring off him).
Blake observed very nicely.
Mommy and Jack found a sandpit with trucks.
Jack enjoyed birthday celebrations at lunch and at dinner on Fri, Aug 8. What fun to be with his cousins and Grammy and Papi!
