Jack's Third Month

At 2 months, Jack weighed 12.5lbs and was 24.5" long. Still a big boy!

Mommy decided it was time for some big boy clothes for Jack.

On October 18, Auntie Marilyn was generous to come watch Jack while Mommy and Daddy went to Capital Grill. The dinner was wonderful, and then Jack came up with the best anniversary present ever - he slept through the night (10pm-6am) for the first time!

In the final weeks before the end of maternity leave, Mommy tried to learn to use the camera a little better (Auntie Megan and Aunt Elizabeth are inspirations!). She had some success.

Mommy also tried to take advantage of many day time exercise classes while on maternity leave. Mommy and Me on Mondays at Healthworks was the favorite. Jack enjoyed hanging out with Lexi Quandt during the classes!

Daddy had his first overnight trip away at the end of October (we're lucky we made it that long!), so Mommy and Jack went to Connecticut for a visit. Jack and Grandpa enjoyed a walk and Jack enjoyed seeing Great Grandma and Great Grandpa (the nice knit hat is from Great Grandma!).

Our serious baby laughed for the first time on Halloween weekend! It was so wonderful to hear him giggle as Daddy pinched his cheeks. The next weekend he giggled at Mommy playing peek-a-boo. This one we caught on video (see You Tube)!

Jack had a few costumes for his first Halloween. There was Tigger as the classic Halloween costume. Then, there was a more creative costume suggested by Aunt Elizabeth - our little lobster! On actual Halloween, we got bundled up to give candy to the Trick-or-Treators.

November 1 was a big day for both Mommy and Jack as Mommy returned to work and Jack started school at Bright Horizons in Framingham. Jack had a great first week, sleeping in the car and eating 3 times per day at school. The eating/sleeping/travel schedule worked so well and made Mommy very happy. It made going back to work an easy and relatively painless transition. The commuting process certainly takes a lot longer with day care drop off and pick up, but has worked quite well.

In Jack's 3rd month, he has become much more interested in toys. He reaches for them and grabs at them. We never knew that such little milestones could be so exciting!
