In his 4th month, we gave the bumbo a try! The first few times, he definitely struggled to pick his head up to face forward. He spent a bunch of time looking at his lap. After just 2 weeks, however, he had really improved!

Jack loves his lovies. There’s Teddy (teddy bear), Jumbo (elephant), and Ribbit (frog). He definitely cannot differentiate between the 3, but he loves to hold all of them and occasionally suck on them.
Jack is doing very well at school. Mommy and Daddy enjoy reading Jack’s daily report cards which tell us when he ate, slept, and had diaper changes. We also get little snippets like “Jack enjoyed tummy time with Alex today,” or “Jack had fun lying on the floor and looking at the purple scarf.” Below are pictures of Jack doing tummy time with Eva and Tyler as well has having a 'Boppy pillow forum.' Our favorite school surprise was an email in the middle of the day with the below cute Thanksgiving photo!

Speaking of Thanksgiving, we drove up to New Hampshire on Thanksgiving day for a great feast with Grammy, Papi, and Auntie Marilyn. We think that Jack really enjoyed his first Thanksgiving. He even rolled over for the first time (tummy to back). Jack also brought Grammy some great luck with an incredible round of Yahtzee…3 Yahtzee’s in one round!!

Christmas came early to the Yanagi’s with a visit from the North Carolina Yanagi’s. Grant, Megan, Reese, and Emmie arrived for a “Saturday after Thanksgiving” Christmas celebration. Jack enjoyed seeing his cousins again. Big cousin, Reese, did a great job helping Jack to open his Christmas gifts.
Jack’s baptism was a big family event at Our Lady of Victories on Isabella Street in Boston. Father Phil gave a nice little private ceremony. Jack wore the family baptismal outfit worn by everyone in the McCann family including Grandma, mommy, Aunt Elizabeth, and Uncle Kevin. We were lucky the big boy fit into the outfit! After the baptism we had a nice brunch at Hamersley’s. Jack is so lucky to have such a great family!
