Jack at 1!

At 1 year, Jack weighed 23lbs 1.5oz and was 30.75” long.

Jack decided to master the art of standing during his birthday month.

The morning of Jack’s big one year birthday (a Wednesday), Jack enjoyed opening his birthday cards.

When Mommy went to pick Jack up early from school, he was still mid-nap.

At home, the whole family had fun opening all of Jack's nice gifts.

To end the evening, we had a nice family picnic in Sparrow Park.  There was live music that we were able to hear for a bit, but then it was time to head home for bath time and bed time.

The weekend after Jack’s birthday, we headed to North Carolina to see the cousins and for the parents to go to a PGA golf championship at Kiawah Island.  Jack had his first ice cream cake on Friday night for his 3rd birthday celebration.

Grammy and Papi were so nice to take care of the 3 cousins and kept them occupied with lots of activities.

Jack plays with a lot of pink toys when he is with his cousins, but he doesn't seem to mind!

As with any Yanagi gathering, there was plenty of eating.

When in North Carolina…Jack also wore a Jon Jon!

Mommy and Daddy and Uncle Grant and Aunt Megan had a great time at the PGA championship and spending time in Charleston.

Back at home, Jack felt we were not keeping the house clean enough, so he got involved with the Swiffer.

He did enjoy taking breaks to ride Rody.

Mom showed up early at day care one day and caught Jack with the famous Mr. Ron.  Mr. Ron visits the infant classroom at Bright Horizons monthly and the kids take turns singing songs with him while he plays his guitar.  Jack has always been a big fan of Mr. Ron and his guitar.

The family spends a lot of time in Sparrow Park, just 2 blocks from our place.  Everyone loves the park!

Another favorite activity of Jack’s currently is spinning around in circles on his bottom.

There was a flurry of wedding activity at the end of August/beginning of September.  First, it was Liz and Brian's wedding in CT.  Then, we headed to Rhode Island to celebrate with Kirstin and Eric!
