First Day of School

The boys were excited for the first day of school.  Sitting still for pictures was not happening. 

Here are some of Jack's favorite things (verbatim answers):

Drink: pretend my water is coffee

Food: hot dogs

Treat: cookies

Toy: a dinosaur and a phone and a wallet

Activity: going to Sparrow Park with Dylan and Hadley [answer by mommy]

Book: Beauty and the Beast

TV Show: Curious George

Movie: Beauty and the Beast 

Song: the Beauty and the Beast song [that Mrs Potts sings]

Color: Green and white and blue

What do you want to be when you grow up. What do you want to do?: Fireman

Activity: stuffing things in the Bruder garbage truck

Blake is into saying "cheeeeese" very emphatically for the camera. We love it!

The good, old penguin stroller seems flimsy but gets the job done. 

This is the spot where Mommy gets a kiss every morning before Daddy and Jack head off to school (and Mommy goes to work). 

Blake adapted to school really well. He barely says goodbye and races off to play. Sometimes he would prefer to skip pick up at the end of the day!  Nap time has been a challenge (given his fear of missing out), but it's improving gradually. He started out napping for @ 22 min and his record has been something like 1hr 28min (yes, his teachers, Debbie and Guerline, are tracking his naps by the minute :)). 

It's going to be a great school year!
