Christmas

Christmas was highly anticipated this year (by Jack).

Cand, our elf, reappeared on Dec 2 (he was a day late).  As of Dec 12, Jack was able to remember, in order, each of Cand's locations. On Christmas Eve, the boys said a nice goodbye to Cand, saying "see you next year!"

Christmas Eve day was a low key family day with fun activities such as card games and a trip to CVS. Jack loves talking to Max, and Max seems to love the attention.

The evening was a whirlwind with 5pm Christmas vigil after naps not ending until 4:15pm.

As we left for mass, Jack asked Daddy where the chimney was, so they had to crane their necks looking way up at the roof...4 stories up!

Max was a great boy during mass. The big boys were a bit more active, but it went relatively well.

Luckily daddy thought of the crockpot for dinner, so Christmas Eve dinner was waiting for us when we arrived home.

The boys were able to open 2 presents each (slippers and bathrobes)!

We attempted a family selfie again this year.

Then, we watched Curious George Christmas.

Santa's cookies and the reindeer carrot had a special plate this year from Aunt Megan (cookies baked by cousin Ashley McCann)!

Jack dictated the note to Santa and signed for himself and his 2 brothers!

Mommy and daddy were up late wrapping presents and watching Love Actually.  Max was fortunate to hang out as well (sound asleep on the blue blanket).

Fortunately, Santa did come to our house, leaving a note for the boys.

As a Christmas gift to Mommy and Daddy, Jack slept until 7am.

Present opening was quite civilized. Jack's were all open in 30 min, but Blake took a couple of hours. There was plenty of playing amidst opening.

It was a great, relaxing morning.

We even got to Face Time with the family in North Carolina.

At 11:30, we headed over to the Burns' for Christmas brunch. Umbrellas were out despite a lack of rain. They were a favorite Christmas gift!  It was actually a balmy 60. Feels like we live in Florida!

Great food and wine at the Burns'.

It was a great Christmas, and now off to Aruba!
