December events (Max's 3rd month)

At 2 months, Max was 24" and 11lbs 11oz, long and slim!

For most of the month, Max was eating once at night (at about 3am after eating last at 8 or 9pm). Just before Christmas, and 2 weeks before Mommy's return to work, Mommy replaced the night time feeding with a pacifier. So far, so good!

Blake returned to JWS two weeks after his surgery. His class made him a get well poster!

This "tree of thanks" came home from Jack's JWS class. Interestingly, "milk" and "Dylan" made the list!

And here is a picture that Jack drew that was a recent favorite of Mommy's.

We actually visited Santa before Thanksgiving this year so we could do the visit pre-Blake's surgery!

Mommy and Jack continued the tradition of lunch out at Panera post JWS pick up.

The big boys enjoy opening the baby gifts that continue to arrive for Max. This one was from Great Grandpa!

Mommy and Max wrapped up the mom and baby class this month. Max made some great first friends.

Blake enjoys hanging around and helping out with Max.

We had a fun Saturday night outing to Old Sturbridge Village with Grandma and Grandpa.

The boys were excited to show off their new hats and gloves.

The family went to see Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer the play. The abominable snow man was scary for Jack!  Max was nice and quiet through the show (except for the few minutes Mommy was fumbling around in the dark and couldn't get to the baby bottle quickly enough!).

We also went to the Boston Pops kids concert which continues to be a favorite.

Mommy and Daddy had the Burns' formal holiday party to attend!

Some other pics of fun through the month (including some babysitting by Hayley)...

Max's tummy time skills continue to develop!

The boys record happy birthday videos for family. This one for Auntie Marilyn was a pretty good representative sample of recent videos!

Max's christening was Dec 19. We had to get in a December baptism as Our Lady of Victories is closing in January!  Max's baptism was the second to last one celebrated at the church.

Maggie and Evan are Max's godparents.

There was a lot of activity during the baptism celebration.

Max was a good boy and didn't make a peep when the water was poured (he did after because he was hungry!).

Jack took some photos.

It was nice to have a lot of family and friends join in the celebration.

We had a gathering with Pauli's catering at our place after the baptism.  The cake almost said "God bless Blake," but luckily  Daddy remembered at the last minute whose baptism it actually was!

Maggie and Kirstin stayed the night, so Hayley babysat and the adults went out.

Maggie actually stayed until Tuesday. It was a wonderful visit.

Sunday was Yanagi family Christmas at Uncle Jeff and Maria's.

Our elf, Cand, really made his way around to all available spots on our 3rd floor. Here he is drinking water.

Max has started grabbing onto things (and putting his hands into his mouth). It's very exciting!

The big boys love playing with their new toys.

Max got a new outfit from Maggie and Jeff.

Uncle Jeff, Maria, and Grace also sent us home with a gingerbread house. It was consumed over Christmas week very happily by the entire family.

Mommy and Daddy went to see Star Wars. It was a special mid-week treat, and the first time having a babysitter for the 3 boys that was not Hayley or Emily (it was our Wayfair go to, Brianna). The theatre was amazing!

The 23rd was Jack and Blake's last day of school pre-Christmas break, and the last day of school for their coops, Lawanda and Andrea. Andrea has been one of Blake's best buddies at school. Jack's class had cupcakes at snack!
