At 6 months, Jack weighed 17lbs 6oz and was 28” long.
One of daddy’s favorite shirts is Jack’s superman shirt – Jack poses here for daddy on his 6 month birthday.
After a tough January from an illness perspective, February went MUCH better. Jack’s cough and stuffy nose disappeared. It’s really nice to have a healthy baby!
Jack loves the bath tub. Particularly kicking in the tub! Mommy was going to post a great video of the kicking, but daddy thought it was too X rated for the web (full frontal nudity). Jack, you can thank your father in 15 years.
We planned 6 month photos with our friend and photographer, Jess Christ. Jack was very well behaved for his 2 hour photo shoot, but was not the most smiley baby (as usual!) until…his clothes came off! Once dressed in diaper only, Jack was all smiles.
Jack made a nice Valentine’s Day card for Mommy and Daddy.
For President’s Day weekend, Mommy and Daddy went to Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic. It was a prepaid trip because we had to cancel it in Dec 2010 when we learned we were pregnant with Jack! The golf was great and we enjoyed driving around the large resort in our very own golf cart. Jack had a great long weekend with Grammy and Papi. Grandma and Grandpa also stopped by for a quick visit on their way home from a ski trip in New Hampshire.
Jack really loves the outdoors. If he’s fussy, he’ll calm down if you bring him over to the window to show him the outside (pic below of Daddy and Jack as they were by the window checking out the outside). As soon as we step outside, he’s perfectly serene, looking around, taking everything in. Jack spends a lot of time in his stroller and loves it, but he also enjoys the baby carrier too.
Jack is finally starting to enjoy solid foods. He doesn’t always love them, but he eats them quite voraciously sometimes. Just about two weeks before his 7 month birthday, we started feeding him two times per day. He enjoys carrots, squash, sweet potatoes. The first time we fed him bananas, he threw a fit (didn’t like them), so we switched to sweet potatoes. After he devoured the sweet potatoes, we gave the bananas a try again. This time, he gulped them down quite happily!
Here’s a cute pic of Daddy and Jack hanging out at a Starbucks on a rainy Saturday.
Jack continues to practice tummy time.
He also likes playing with his play gym. See for yourself how Jack plays in the below video.

Jack can now feed himself very nicely – quite the time saver for mommy when daddy is traveling and not around in the morning!
As Jack turns 7 months old, he will be heading up to New Hampshire to spend another long weekend with Grammy and Papi as Mommy and Daddy head to Utah for a ski weekend at Deer Valley and Park City. We ALL love Grammy and Papi!!
