Here is Blake at 5 months!
Christmas started first thing in December as we drove home from CT after Thanksgiving (on Dec 1st) and did a drive by at Home Depot for our Christmas tree. Daddy and Jack prepared the tree and strung the lights before mommy and Jack decorated.
One of Jack's favorite activities is having picnics! We spread out the picnic blankets and have a make believe feast. Here's Jack having a picnic with a horse that Aunt Elizabeth procured for him at a real estate conference!
Blake tried solids for the first time right around his 5 month birthday. These pictures are deceiving. He was actually not that interested in or particularly pleased with the food (sweet potatoes).
Blake agreed to pose nicely in front of the Christmas tree for mommy.
As usual, we had quite a few family Christmases. The Yanagi family Christmas was at Jeff and Maria's and Jack loves playing with Saku. Luckily Saku was tolerant of Jack! Weeks later, back at home, Jack was still talking about Saku. Here is Jack, curled up on the couch like his good buddy, Saku.
Jack also enjoyed opening gifts, although, it was funny to see him get present fatigue (he did actually get tired of opening gifts)! The trick is that he wants to open and play with every toy he un wraps, so it's a lot of work!
Plus... There are Blake's gifts to help with!!
And we got some nice family photos.
Our next Christmas celebration was at home with our little family before leaving for Aruba. Blake liked his gifts and Jack liked Blake's gifts!
At the end of December, as we were in Aruba for Christmas, Blake's first two teeth started coming through (the two bottom teeth)! Staying true to his typical good nature, Blake did not show any signs of teething other than chewing on his hands and anything else available to him.
